Nature by the sea

This special place has a curious history. More than 100 years ago, the village was on the verge of being buried by the sand from the sea. The solution? Thousands of trNature by the seaees were planted to slow the advance of the dunes. Today, thanks to this effort, Guardamar has one of the largest dune parks on the coast.

What can you do there?

Stroll through pine trees and sand along paths that are very easy to follow.

Go to the mouth of the Segura river, known as La Gola, where fresh water meets the sea.

Watch birds, squirrels and native nature.

Take beautiful photos with the sea in the background and the shade of the trees.

Direct access to the beach from some wooden paths.

It is a perfect place to go with children, by bike, or just for a quiet walk alone or in good company.
