New AVE service will connect Elche and Orihuela with Segovia, Valladolid and Burgos without transfers in Madrid.

Excellent news for travel and adventure lovers! Renfe has announced the direct connection of Elche and Orihuela with three important capitals of Castilla-León: Segovia, Valladolid and Burgos, through the Spanish High Speed (AVE) service. This new service, which will start on 8 April, will allow travel without the need for transfers in Madrid, significantly shortening journey times.

With three fast trains daily in the direction of Valladolid and a daily link in each direction to the cities of Segovia and Burgos, passengers will have more options to explore and enjoy these emblematic Spanish cities.

For example, with this new connection, travel times from Elche to Segovia will be just 2 hours and 51 minutes, while the journey to Burgos will take approximately 4 hours and 4 minutes. These times represent a considerable reduction compared to previous options, giving travellers a faster and more efficient way to reach these historic and cultural cities. This certainly opens up new opportunities to explore these beautiful cities of Castilla-León from the Mediterranean coast, providing travellers with more options and convenience for their adventures.
